Grey Beola (Gneiss)

Nome: Beola Grigia.

Material used in construction and funeral art since the Renaissance.

In ancient times it was transported on barges along the river routes and distributed throughout the Po valley for artifacts that are still on display today.
Being a stratified stone, it often changes grain size within the block itself, varying from coarse and lean grain (shiat) to fine and slightly veined grain (grigina).
