Indian Juparanà is a natural granite from India.
Indian Juparanà has a fine gray/white dotted background, superimposed by longitudinal/diagonal pink veins.
In our warehouse we mainly have two types:
⁃ LIGHT, with a gray background with medium pink veins;
⁃ MEDIUM, with a gray background with strong pink veins.
Juparanà is a granite that is highly resistant to atmospheric agents and sudden changes in temperature.
It is resistant to shocks or scratches and is not attacked by commonly used acids. Compared to other materials it is much easier to keep clean.
Due to the characteristics listed above, it is suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments.
Indoors it is ideal for floors, stairs, cladding and kitchen shelves.
It is particularly recommended for the countertops of bars and restaurants as it very well withstands the daily and continuous wear and tear that an activity with the public entails.
Externally, being so resistant to atmospheric agents, it is used in the cladding of houses, palaces and skyscrapers as well as in funeral art, maintaining its original appearance intact over time.
Polishing is the most common finish on Juparanà, and has the merit of making it extremely easy to clean, but Juparanà can also be satin, flamed or flamed and brushed at the same time: flaming is frequently used for external coverings because it gives this material a less “cold” and more harmonious look.
Finally, let us add that the presence of veining makes book-matched compositions possible for a refined and timeless effect, capable of enhancing an open space, a living room, a reception to the maximum.
It is a cutting technique that is obtained by opening the slabs of the same block like pages of a book, in fact this system is also called “Open Book” in English.
